Separator non-ferrous metal
This is how simple magnets can make problems go away.
Separator for non-ferrous metals (eddy current separation)
The non-ferrous metal separators remove non-magnetic metal parts from conveyed material. They can be retrofitted into an existing process, allow uninterrupted material flow, and run without power except for the drive for the rotor. Non-ferrous metal separators are therefore fail-safe, low-maintenance, sustainable and do not incur any follow-up costs.
Application area
The use of permanent-magnet strong-field rotors is suitable wherever non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, copper, brass and other non-ferrous metals are to be separated from bulk materials of all kinds. They are used in the recycling of plastic, sand, glass, slag, ash, wood, e-waste and household waste
Versions
Non-ferrous metal separators are offered by Trideta as standard with a diameter of 450mm and lengths of 550mm, 810mm, 1070mm and 1240mm. In addition, customer-specific solutions are made possible.
Functionality
Permanent magnets are attached to a pulley as a multipole magnet system. They build up a magnetic field via the poles. Very fast rotation of the deflection roller produces a high magnetic field frequency. The eddy currents create a magnetic field in the nonferrous metals that is opposite to its origin; the nonferrous metals are repelled and ejected from the material stream.
