Phoenix Tailings, Tridelta Magnetsysteme Announce Strategic Partnership Combining American Innovation with German Engineering

The collaboration will focus on creating a truly sustainable, western supply chain for magnetic systems.

BURLINGTON, MA – Phoenix Tailings and Tridelta Magnetsysteme are entering into a strategic partnership to jointly build a reliable and sustainable supply chain for rare earth metals and magnet systems in the Western Hemisphere.

Phoenix Tailings, based in Burlington, Massachusetts, has a patented process for refining rare earth metals extracted from mining waste, known as tailings. Phoenix Tailings is the only company in the United States that processes rare earth metals and the only company in the world that produces rare earth metals without direct carbon emissions or toxic byproducts. In conventional processing, 2000 tons of toxic waste are produced for every ton of usable metal.

Tridelta Magnetsysteme, based in Dortmund, Germany, has been a European leader in the field of permanent magnet systems since 1920. Its products offer unique solutions for the most demanding applications, improve environmental safety and reduce costs in the automotive, oil and gas, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and food industries.

“This partnership combines Phoenix Tailings’ innovations in sustainable mining and metal production with German engineering excellence in the field of magnetic components,” said Nicholas Myers, CEO and co-founder of Phoenix Tailings. “This collaboration means we are adding value at both ends of the supply chain to ensure a truly sustainable, western alternative.”
